Pat

Office Manager

Pat has been the Office Manager at Petrolia Dental since 2001. She keeps the office running smoothly and efficiently, overseeing everything from staff scheduling and supply ordering to payroll and accounting. Pat began her journey with us as a receptionist and, after three years, transitioned into her current role. She is passionate about her work and regularly attends classes and seminars to enhance her office management skills and expand her knowledge base.

In her spare time, Pat enjoys travelling and spending quality time with her family. She has visited destinations such as Las Vegas and Southern California to connect with friends and loved ones. Some of her favourite pastimes include shopping with her daughter, exploring beaches with her son, and attending concerts—especially Steely Dan—and wine tastings with her husband.

Pat truly enjoys her role at Petrolia Dental. She finds satisfaction in the challenge of working with numbers and appreciates the flexibility her position provides. Most of all, she values being part of the supportive and dedicated team at the clinic.

Christina

Assistant Office Manager

Christina graduated from the NAIT Dental Assisting program in 2005 and has been performing dental administration since 2007. Having joined Petrolia Dental in 2018, she continues to be excited about the positive team environment within and strives to make your visit welcoming and enjoyable. She is happy to assist with your appointment scheduling and dental insurance claims.

Outside of the office, Christina is passionate about her cats, travelling, pursuing lifelong learning, and singing with Chorus Inspira.

Arlene

Registered Dental Assistant

Arlene grew up in Edmonton and graduated from the NAIT Dental Assisting program in 2005. She completed her practicum at our office and was hired shortly after. Arlene is also trained in providing Invisalign support.

In her free time, she enjoys music, crafts, and spending quality time with her family.

Lucy

Registered Dental Assistant

Lucy is one of our Registered Dental Assistants. Originally from China, she speaks fluent English and Mandarin. After graduating from the KDM Dental Assisting Program in Edmonton in 2010, she continued her training by completing her orthodontic and scaling modules.

Lucy enjoys listening to music, reading books, and planting flowers. In her free time, she loves watching movies, enjoying delicious food, and playing badminton and pickleball with her family.

Vaishali

Registered Dental Hygienist

Vai graduated with her Dental Hygiene diploma from the Canadian National Institute of Health in 2012. She continued her education and earned a Bachelor of Science with a specialization in Dental Hygiene from the University of Alberta in 2014. Vai joined the Petrolia Dental team in 2016. She is passionate about helping patients improve their oral health through education and by incorporating new techniques and technology. She also enjoys building strong relationships with her patients.

Outside the office, Vai loves spending time with her husband, two sons, and their pup. She also enjoys travelling, reading, hiking, and staying active.

Kelly

Registered Dental Hygienist

Kelly graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and later completed her Dental Hygiene Diploma in 2009. She has been part of the Petrolia Dental team ever since and is certified to administer local anesthetic and provide laser treatment for periodontal care.

Outside the office, Kelly enjoys movies and travelling with her husband, their two children, and the family’s chocolate lab. She also loves spending time outdoors and making new memories with her family. Kelly is passionate about helping clients achieve their best oral health through education, encouragement, and regular hygiene appointments.

Jessica

Registered Dental Hygienist

Jessica graduated with distinction in 2024 from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Science specializing in Dental Hygiene. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from MacEwan University. Jessica joined the Petrolia Dental team in 2024 and is certified to administer local anesthetic and prescribe medications.

She is passionate about providing attentive, personalized care in a calm, relaxing environment—creating a space where patients feel supported and at ease.

Outside the clinic, Jessica enjoys reading, playing video games, working on creative craft projects, and relaxing with her husband.

Rachael

Registered Dental Hygienist

Rachael has been practicing as a dental hygienist since 2017 and is passionate about helping patients gain confidence in their smiles. She graduated from Vancouver Island University and also holds an Education degree from the University of Alberta—enhancing her focus on patient care and oral health education.

Certified in local anesthetic, Rachael is committed to making every visit as comfortable and stress-free as possible.

Known for her friendly, down-to-earth nature and great sense of humor, she enjoys building genuine connections with her patients.

When she’s not at the clinic, Rachael loves to stay active—whether she’s bouldering, playing sports, spending quality time with her dog, or checking new destinations off her travel bucket list.

Solomiia

Sterilization Technician

Solomiia graduated from Danylo Halytsky Lviv National Medical University in 2022. She brings experience as a dental assistant in Ukraine, where she also managed content creation for her clinic’s social media profile.

At Petrolia Dental, Solomiia plays a vital behind-the-scenes role in keeping our office running smoothly. She assists hygienists with probing, supports dentists during procedures, and most importantly, ensures all instruments are properly sterilized. Though much of her work happens out of the spotlight, she finds great satisfaction in knowing she contributes meaningfully to patient care and team efficiency.

In her free time, Solomiia enjoys photography and singing. She also loves travelling, camping, and spending time in nature. Her favourite activities include swimming, cycling, and ice skating.
