Pat has been the office manager at Petrolia Dental since 2001. She organizes our office efficiently and coordinates the complex layers that make up our business from scheduling our staff and ordering supplies to managing our payroll and doing our accounting. Pat began in our office as our receptionist and after three years, settled into her current position. She is passionate about her work and continually attends classes and seminars to improve her office management skills and develop her knowledge base.
In her spare time, she enjoys travelling and spending time bonding with her family. She has travelled to places such as Las Vegas and southern California to visit with friends and family. She enjoys shopping with her daughter, exploring beaches with her son, and attending concerts (especially Steely Dan) and wine tastings with her husband.
Pat really enjoys her work at Petrolia Dental. She loves the challenge involved in juggling and reconciling numbers. She enjoys the flexibility that comes with her position and enjoys working with our team.
Arlene grew up in Edmonton and graduated from NAIT Dental Assisting in 2005. She did her practicum at our office and was hired. Arlene is also trained in Invisalign.
During her free time, Arlene enjoys music, crafts, and spending time with family.
Lucy – Registered Dental Assistant
Lucy is one of our Registered Dental Assistants. She is originally from Shanghai and speaks fluent English and Mandarin. After graduating from the KDM Dental Assisting Program in Edmonton, in 2010, she continued her training by getting her orthodontic and scaling modules. She enjoys listening to music, reading books and planting flowers. She spends her free time with her husband and children watching movies, eating delicious food and playing badminton.
Kelly graduated from the University of Alberta, Augustana Faculty with a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2007. She continued her education at the University of Alberta where she received her Dental Hygiene Diploma in 2009. Kelly began working with Petrolia Dental in 2009. She is certified to administer local anesthetic and to provide laser treatment for periodontal disease.
She loves movies and enjoys travelling with her husband and son. Kelly is passionate about helping clients to achieve their optimal oral care through education and regular hygiene appointments.
Amberly – Registered Dental Hygienist
Amberly graduated from the University of Alberta in 2015 and received her Bachelors Degree in Science, majoring in Dental Hygiene with a specialization in Community Care. She is devoted to providing compassionate patient care to meet each individual’s needs.
Amberly loves spending time outside camping, hiking and cycling with her husband and daughter. Her other favourite hobbies include yoga, art and dancing.
Sydnee – Sterilization Technician
Sydnee joined out team in 2019 coming from a background as a hygienist facilitator at a dental office in downtown Vancouver.
She keeps our office running smoothly by helping the hygienists with probing and lending a helping hand to the dentists when needed, but most importantly ensures proper sterilization of all instruments.
Although her job is behind the scenes, she loves the sense of satisfaction she gets knowing she plays a critical role in the office.
Sydnee has a passion for fitness and the practice of yoga, so she enjoys spending her time off at the gym, yogo studio, or discovering new places to benefit her love for exercise.
Windy – Receptionist
Windy received her Medical Office Assistant Diploma and ended up working in the dental field. First, she was our Sterilization Assistant. Now she is happy to serve our patients as the other half of our Front Office Team. She is the first person you will meet when you enter our exceptional office. She brings with her the compassionate heart, understanding our patient’s needs, and always greets everyone, whether in person or over the phone, with a warm bubbly smile and voice. She works hard and is always looking for ways to learn and expand her horizons.
Christina – Receptionist
Christina graduated from the NAIT Dental Assisting program in 2005 and has been performing dental administration since 2007. Having joined Petrolia Dental in 2018, she continues to be excited about the positive team environment within and strives to make your visit welcoming and enjoyable. She is happy to assist with your appointment scheduling and dental insurance claims.
Outside of the office, Christina is passionate about her cats, travelling, pursuing lifelong learning, and singing with The Richard Eaton Singers and A Joyful Noise choirs.
